Get ready, I'm giving you my top favorite Netflix documentaries! And before you click away because these are documentaries, let me promise you that they are all awesome. These are in no order, because I am way to indecisive to pick one favorite of all time! Enjoy!
1. Jiro Dreams of Sushi
Disclaimer: This movie is all in Japanese, but it is totally subtitled. I was concerned, at first, because who likes movies in different languages? But anyways, I ended up loving it because if you like food, it is incredibly interesting. Not only is it interesting, but it is just beautifully put together. After watching it, I literally went out and bought sushi because it looked so good in here. You probably want to know what it's about, I'm guessing. Jiro Dreams of Sushi is about this 85 year old Japanese man that owns a tiny little Japanese sushi restaurant in Japan (it's gotten some big coverage lately because President Obama went there and LOVED the food). Well, it basically follows his job and his passion and love of sushi. Highly recommended, unless there is nowhere to get good sushi around you. I promise, you'll be craving Japanese food for days.

2. Blackfish
This movie has also gained popularity recently with the protests against Sea World's horrific treatment of their killer whales. I sobbed for a good portion of the movie, which is saying something, because I don't usually cry during movies. It shows the story of Tilikum, a killer whale, that has the record of killing three people. And, despite the deaths he's caused, you find yourself feeling just awful for the unethical treatment of these poor animals. I totally want to tell you more, but I really want you to just watch it!

3. Fame High
This movie is less of a worldly, impacting movie that the two I've listed above. However, it is really interesting and fun to see. It follows several students trying to make their big break at LA's notorious Fame High. The amount of pressure on these kids is insane, and it is amazing how incredibly hard they have worked to get where they are now. Fame High is good for when you feel really stressed, and need to see that we could be doing what these kids are doing (which is more than watching Netflix).

4. The Tents
I. Love. The Tents. Not as much as I love Mean Girls, but almost. It follows the catwalks at Bryant Park's Fashion Week in New York, and it is just SO cool if you love clothes. They talk to so many fashion designers including Zachary Posen, Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, and more. This is a fun movie for girls' night, and, unlike Blackfish, it won't make you cry all night. I hope.

5. Katy Perry: Part of Me
I was extremely wary of this movie before I watched it. I mean, Katy Perry? Come on. I could not have been more incorrect. I found her documentary heartwarming, but also really interesting. (Sorry for my excessive use of that word today, it's just the perfect adjective for this post!). It gives you some amazing behind- the-scenes looks at her Part of Me tour. I never would have expected it to be so taxing for someone to go on tour, but I was very wrong. This is really fun, and gives you a great glimpse into her childhood.

6. Bill Cunningham New York
Bill Cunningham works for the New York Times, taking pictures for the Fashion column. He rides his bike every morning on the streets of the big apple looking for fashions he finds interesting or trends he sees on the street. It is beautifully filmed, and you even get to see the fashion mogul herself, Anna Wintour!
